NEWS FROM THE OFFICE

Macaroni & Cheese Food Drive –Success!—Thank you for your thoughtfulness at this Thanksgiving Season of Blessings

Sleepy?

A recent study shows us that children who do not get enough sleep are much more likely to have behavioral symptoms and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity.  Pediatricians recommend 10 – 12 hours each night for children ages 3 to 10.

*Give children a 30 minute “calming down” time

*Warm bath and cozy pajamas

*Read together—avoid TV before bedtime

*Soft Music and Night Light

*Reassure them that you will check on them during the night—Be consistent –Sweet dreams!

Enrollment for Next Year

To be sure your child is enrolled for the next school year (Fall 2011-2012) at St. Thomas Early Learning Center, applications are now being accepted.  If your child is a current student, you will be given priority UNTIL DECEMBER 1.  After that date, new families to our community will begin turning in their applications.  So don’t delay!  You may go to our website at stthomaselc.org to “Forms”, download and print a form, then turn it in to Mary Skow in the ELC office.  Or, stop by the office to get your forms for next year.  We anticipate a full enrollment.
